Californian rock quartet Health eschew sunny vibes in favour of the dissonant electronic hiss of Sheffield’s Cabaret Voltaire in the late 70s, the vampiric tribal pulse of London’s This Heat from a few years later and the tightly controlled noise punk of World Domination Enterprises from the mid 80s. Anyone unconvinced by The Liars’ recent make over as a poppier combo will find great solace in this atonal and rhythmic record.
