New paintings by the late Nirvana frontman uncovered. But are they any good?

FIVE original artworks by Kurt Cobain are at the heart of an ongoing row between Courtney Love and the late Nirvana singer’s publishing company, reports The Fix website.

The paintings and drawings — which make Brian from Spaced look like a polite sketcher of country idylls — are being kept at an art storage facility in LA, along with guitars and other memorabilia which Love has declared her intention to sell at auction.

Publishers EOM may try to block the bid, however, having reportedly covered unpaid storage fees for the stash on Love’s behalf.

The artworks were made in 1993, at the time Nirvana were recording for third album In Utero. Click the pointers to toggle through the gallery below.
