New additions to the Secretly Canadian roster, Santa Barbara’s Gardens & Villa leave a lasting impression with slow-burning electro jam ‘Black Hills’. Dropping falsettoed chorus hooks over a coolly pulsing, Kraftwerkian synth line, the track — which will head up their Richard Swift-produced debut, due in summer — has been made available for MP3 download and is accompanied by a bewitching, strangely ET-like promo.
