Listen to 'Let's Boot And Rally', a duet from Bethany Cosentino and Iggy Pop
Best Coast frontwoman Bethany Cosentino and Iggy Pop have joined forces to record a song for the HBO vampire series True Blood. They’re in fine company: last year, Neko Case and Nick Cave recorded a song for the soundtrack of the series as well.
Bethany and Iggy have recorded a track called ‘Let’s Boot And Rally’, which will appear in the episode which airs in the US on July 8.
Of the collaboration, The Stooges’ man said: “I’ve always liked to bite. I guess this makes me a singing vampire, does this mean I have a license to suck? Hi Bethany…”
Bethany replied: “What an honor to get to sing with a legend, and for such a fantastic show. What’s up Iggy!”
