New album from the hip hop star in June, along with new Timbaland solo LP
We were just gawping at the Hype Williams video for Nicki Minaj’s ‘Stupid Hoe’ in a, umm, quiet moment at work, when all of a sudden news of a brand new Missy Elliott album pops up.
Coincidence? Don’t be so fucking naive.
Timbaland told MTV News that both he and his longtime collaborator had new solo records which they intend to release in June. “Right now, we’re just preparing to get both our videos, our first singles, shot kinda at the same time,” he said.
“We want to do it as a movement and spontaneously… I just don’t want to move too ahead of her, and she doesn’t wanna move too ahead of me.”
The new record will be Missy’s first in seven years, while Timbaland’s last effort, Shock Value II, appeared in 2009.
