Rapper detained in Texas after police find heroin, weed and a loaded gun on tour bus
POLICE in Texas pulled hip hop star Nelly and crew after finding heroin, weed and a loaded .45 calibre pistol on his tour bus.
The naughty cargo was discovered at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca — yep, that’s the same one Fiona Apple got nicked at for hashish possession a few weeks back.
Fortunately for Nelly, a prison stretch is unlikely to be on the cards, since a Mr Brian Keith Jones, one of the six other passengers on the bus, told police the drugs and guns were his.
That could prove a costly admission, given the raw stats of the bust — the feds’ sniffer dog snouted out 0.64 ounces of heroin and a whopping 10lbs of weed.
Ridiculously, the Sierra Blanca inspection station is rapidly becoming something of a checkpointus horribilis for unsuspecting celebs, with other noteworthy victims including Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg.
