Painting: Wu-Tang’s ‘Victory or Death’
Can’t believe we missed this when it first got revealed in 2010. It’s a huge canvas created by Art Imitates Life and based on the famous 1851 George Washington Crossing the Potomac painting by Emanuel Gottlieb Leutze (here). But the original characters have been replaced by Wu-Tang’s RZA, GZA and the Ol Dirty Bizzer. RZA even posed for his portrait. In a word: incredible.
