News: Throbbing Gristle
Double album recorded together by three TG members to be released in November

THROBBING Gristle’s remaining members are to release a long-awaited double album.
Desertshore / The Final Report is a collaboration between the industrial music innovators Chris Carter, Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson and Cosey Fanni Tutti.
Desertshore was conceived by Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson as a re-imagined cover of Nico’s seminal 1970 album of the same name. Christopherson was beginning to record guest vocalists before his death in Bangkok in 2010, according to The Quietus. Carter and Tutti, who were preparing material for the record in the UK, committed to finish the project in his memory.
Artists Gaspar Noé, Blixa Bargeld, Marc Almond, Sasha Grey and Antony Hegarty have also contributed to the record.
The Final Report is comprised of the final recording sessions of the trio, from 2009 and 2010, made at Carter and Tutti’s Norfolk studio.
Both will be released through Throbbing Gristle’s own label, Industrial Records, on November 26. For a preview of the much -anticipated project, watch the two teasers clips below.
