You London folk: get out and grab a copy right now. Rest of the nation: a convoy of Pigeon vans are circling the nation as we speak. Give us and few days, then check your local stockist. Lovely old job.

Pigeon writer Cyrus Shahrad is also in Smoke Feathers, who are headlining a gig for Gaza on March 21 at The Luminaire, north London.
Charlene Soraia and Hexicon are supporting, five quid in, and all the dosh go to charity.
Tonnes of gems floating about at the moment. Here are five sweet peaches...
The Glitch Mob’s Crush Mode mix. Crunchin’, crunkin’, glitchin’, bitchin’. Right from the big CA. Go here.
Martello x Trinotron, hosted by Serocee. Beeeyoootifully knits together stuff from Weezy to Sticky. Hear here.
L-Vis 1990’s Dubplates Mix. We love this kid. Heavy. And kind of cheesy, at the same time. Like a Big Mac. Be here.
Cesca’s System Vol. 2. Or is it Chesca? Disco all the way, either way, baby. Right here.
While we’re on a disco tip, here’s a short rinse of Gino Soccio stuff. Know him? He rules. ‘Try It Out’ is, like, WTF, OMG, one of my fave songs ever and there’s an instrumental of it on here.
They’re a distinguished-looking bunch, the Stool Pigeon readers...

Cheers for the pic, Leon

Lux Interior, founder of the Cramps and psychobilly innovator has died at the age of 62 in Glendale California. Our thoughts go out to his wife and Cramps guitarist Poison Ivy. Here is some amazing footage from a show that took place at the state mental institution in Napa California. How I wish I was there.
John Martyn has joined the great gig in the sky this week after losing his battle with double pneumonia in Ireland. Martyn always put creativity ahead of formula and has left us a back catalogue of unparalleled candor and beauty.

I know, I know, we've been completely rubbish at keeping the site up to date, but we've been BUSY finishing the new issue. It's done. It rules. It's out on London this week, rest of the UK next week. Hold tight. We're coming.
Last night at the annual Record Of The Day Awards for Music Journalism and PR, The Stool Pigeon managed were voted runner-ups in the Best Magazine Category. Word won, but somehow we managed to beat all the usual suspects - NME, Q, Mojo etc. We must be doing something wrong. Phil was runner-up in the Best Editor category too.
